As Americans adapt to a country where basic reproductive rights are no longer guaranteed, they must also navigate an internet where even the most personal data can become public. Everything from our internet searches, to our wearable devices, to our period apps leave a record. And that record can be sold, shared, or stolen and in some of these cases used against us at our most vulnerable.
What digital dangers, strategies, and tools do we need to be aware of in this new environment? How can the fight for reproductive rights and the freedom of women’s bodies become a tenant in how we build digital futures – in terms of products, policy, and practice? And can these futures inspire our lived realities?
